The AE128 is an acoustic electric guitar that plays well, is affordable, and offers strong features. Along with the level control, it includes a three-band EQ(+/ up to 12 dB) that has mid-range as well as treble and bass(most low-cost models usually only have high and low frequency controls) It also has a status light for the battery. The OP-4B preamp is a pretty nifty little. For a guitar in this price range, the electronics are strong. The natural finish is great, the sound is terrific and the features are very handy. Their AE128 is proof that this arrangement works just fine. Applause guitars offer tremendous savings. Bass, mid, and treble controls in perfect working order. Frets in excellent shape with straight neck. This is an Ovation Beauty and is in Mint Condition. The fret board is light colored and easy to find your way around. You'll love the body thinness and round back.

I ship only to the lower 48 states.īuy with Confidence from Top Seller Ovation AE128 This is an Excellent guitar that has Great Sound& Volume for a shallow body. That would take all the finish checks out but is more that I can do right now. If you want it to really look good then sand off all the polyurethane.right down to the bear wood and then put another coat on. So if you want a little project you can put this together and have an easy player. And it may go away the the proper saddle is in place. The hum generally is removed when you change out the wires to the pick up or simply shield the wires with time foil. It's that easy and then sand it to your specs for string. Here is a list of what needs to be done to get this playing how it should: 1. The action is acceptable and the guitar is easy to play. There is at times a slight hum in the preamp. The saddle is not'right' Having mentioned this I will not accept a return because of the saddle) The saddle slants toward the tuners. Looks fine from a distance but you can still see the checks. The top has a fair number of checks in the polyurethane and it looks like someone put another coat on the top. I presently have just too many guitars at the moment to tweak them all to full working order thus this is listed as a project. Repair and sell guitars for a local charity. Here I have an Ovation Applause AE-38 Acostic Electric Project.
